Dawn is a dynamic HR Consultant who brings strategic insight to every aspect of her work, from organizational development and performance management to compensation, training, and compliance. Since joining SDHRC in 2025, she has also led initiatives in HRIS implementation, project management, and data-driven HR analytics, helping clients align their people programs with business goals.

What Dawn values most about SDHRC is the team’s “magnetic” energy, which she describes as a blend of warmth, professionalism, and shared purpose. She’s proud to contribute to such a collaborative environment and is focused on growing professionally while maintaining a healthy life balance, something she greatly values.

Degrees & Certifications
Dawn holds SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications as well as a BA in Organizational Leadership from Chapman University and is currently working on her MBA in HR from National University.

What are your hobbies or passions outside of work?
I love animals, experimenting with healthy cooking, daily exercise, and writing.

What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done?
Eco-tour in Costa Rica, about 20 miles from Panama. We rolled the boat, encountered a hunting Puma, and got trapped in a rainforest. It was so much fun. Either that or climbing a waterfall in Jamaica, then having to dive out of a cave back down into the lagoon. Not as much fun.

Dawn’s callsign is Phoenix — because, like the legendary bird, she rises each dawn ready to take on any challenge and turn it into an opportunity.
