Our Team

Our team is comprised of over 26 professionals with diverse backgrounds and skillsets that when combined create a team with the expertise to support a wide variety of unique client needs. We have a recruiting team with recruiters located all across the United States, a human resources consulting team local to San Diego county, as well an employment attorney. We like to think of ourselves as a one-stop-shop when it comes to HR.

OUR FOUNDER and Her Story

Julie Hunt, Founder and CEO, started San Diego Human Resources Consulting Inc. in 2004. She has 20+ years of human resources management experience and led HR departments at large (Fortune 100) and newly emerging companies alike. She holds a Master of Science in Human Resources Management from Chapman University and has taught various human resources management classes. Julie founded SDHRC as a Recruiting firm, but then further expanded to include HR services. We have been servicing clients predominantly but not limited to the San Diego area for 18 years.

Our team did a comprehensive HR audit for an aviation company with over 100 employees in CA and FL. We reviewed the following areas; Recruiting and Hiring, Terminations, Employee Files, Employee Handbook, HR Forms, Compensation, Payroll, Training, and Organizational Structure. We defined areas of risk in an 81-page report and helped establish steps for compliance.


Our employment attorney conducted an investigation for a manufacturing company with 50 employees in which a sexual harassment claim was made. We conducted interviews with 7 employees and provided a 14 page summary of findings which included investigation facts and a timeline of events.


We recently created a handbook for a technology company with less than 50 employees located across 10 states. Our team documented company policies and ensured compliance with current federal and local laws by creating a handbook that spoke to the company culture and included addendums for states outside of CA.


We recently presented a CRASH Manager Training Series to a software company with 50 employees. Topics covered in this 5 course series included Leadership and Coaching, Resolving and Managing Conflicts, Avoiding Habits of Frequently Sued Managers, Giving and Receiving Feedback, and Performance Management.


Using our RPO model, we hired a Purchasing & Planning Manager for a large biotech company with over 1,000 employees in under 40 hours, which resulted in a cost savings of $18,000 to the client (compared to if they used a staffing agency with contingency fees).


We completed a compensation project for a nonprofit organization with over 100 employees in which we reviewed and provided recommendations to their current salary structure. Our team ensured alignment between the organization's compensation philosophy and best practices to ensure a strong compensation foundation moving forward.
