Thanksgiving Message From Our CEO
In these challenging times for businesses, Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to be reminded of all that we are grateful for. Gratitude is more important than ever. Employers and employees are concerned about the future, increasing costs everywhere and juggling work and home-life priorities.
Employees want to hear that their dedicated work efforts are valued and appreciated. Showing gratitude to employees is one of the easiest, fastest and least expensive ways to boost employee morale and performance. Some ways to cultivate a positive work atmosphere that fosters gratitude are: celebrating the “little” work accomplishments, recognizing employees strengths, and supporting struggles, seeing the good in everyday interactions with workers, trying to reframe a difficult situation from the perspective of the people involved, and finding ways to increase positive interaction and outcomes.
During the Thanksgiving Holiday, it is important to reflect on the positive work accomplishments for which you are grateful. Last month, San Diego Human Resources Consulting, Inc. celebrated 18 successful years of doing good business and we were also recognized as One of the Best Places to Work in San Diego, by the San Diego Business Journal, in September 2022. I know none of this would be possible without the amazing support from our clients and valued employees – so thank you.
Our team enjoys showing gratitude to our community through our Employee Volunteer Program. Throughout 2022, our employees have volunteered 168+ hours at various nonprofits such as the Vista Chamber of Commerce, The Animal Pad, and the Open Arms Health Clinic. Additionally, for our year-end get together, our team will volunteer at Brother Benno’s Thrift Store organizing donations and wrapping presents for children this holiday season. We are thankful to have the opportunity to give back to our community and grateful for our Clients, Colleagues, and Community.
As we enter the holiday season, my hope is that the spirit of gratitude and appreciation continue into the coming year. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting our team as your HR and Recruiting partner. Wishing you peace, love, and joy this holiday season and for many years to come.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Julie Wootton, CEO
