The NEW and FINAL Deadline to Report Your Employee Data!
The CA Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) has released the final deadline to report your employee demographics.
While recognizing the continuing impact of the pandemic on business operations, the deadline to submit and certify 2019 and 2020 EEO-1 Component 1 Reports has changed. The new filing deadline is Monday, October 25, 2021.
Please note that the EEOC has stated that this new deadline is the FINAL DEADLINE, and all eligible filers MUST submit data by this date.
It is encouraged that all eligible employers file the required EEO-1 Component 1 report(s) as soon as possible.
Do You Need to File?
Private employers with 100 or more employees in the United States and at least one employee in California who must file a federal EEO-1 must report pay and demographic information. Employers must also include temporary workers provided by a staffing agency or independent contractors if the individuals were included in the employer’s payroll and required to withhold federal social security taxes from their wages.

Important Information
Eligible employers that have not received a 2019 and 2020 EEO-1 Component 1 notification letter via U.S. mail should contact the EEOC’s Filer Support Team at FilerSupport@eeocdata.org for assistance. Employers that have received the notification letter may now create user accounts using the “Company ID” and “Passcode” provided in the notification letter.
